Notifications

When do they arrive?

At the time you set in Settings › Reminders — one time a day, or up to three with Plus. A reminder can also have times of its own. An Important reminder speaks when its window opens, on the day, and twice more if it goes overdue; a routine speaks on its day and never nags. Several due at the same minute arrive as one notice.

Nothing arrives.

Check the phone's Settings › Notifications › Doneasy is allowed, and that Focus or Do Not Disturb isn't holding them. Then open the app once — it schedules the next fortnight each time it opens.

Sharing with your partner

Pairing

Both phones, in the same room, Bluetooth on. One shows its code, the other scans it, once. Sharing comes with Plus — one phone with it covers both.

"Looking for the partner phone"

It syncs while both apps are open and near each other, over Bluetooth or the same Wi-Fi. Bring the phones together and open the app on both. If it still can't see them, turn Bluetooth off and on.

Unpairing

Settings › Sharing › Unpair. You choose whether the things they shared stay on your phone or go.

Your data

Backup and restore

Settings › Your data › Back up writes a file that you can save in Files or send to a destination you choose. Use a passphrase to protect a backup containing personal information. Restore reads a compatible Doneasy backup back into the app.

Starting again

Start again removes your local records. Deleting the app also removes local app data. Keep a backup first if you want your records back. Neither action cancels your Apple purchase or deletes files you exported.

Deleted something by mistake?

Check Settings › Your data › Recently deleted. Items can be recovered while they remain there.

Calendar import

Open Settings and choose Import calendar. Pick iPhone calendars or an .ics file, preview the events, then select what to copy. You can select personal events separately from suggested holidays. Import does not change your original calendar and does not keep it in sync.

To import a Google calendar on iPhone, first connect it to Apple Calendar in iOS Settings. You can also export an .ics file from Google Calendar on a computer. Already imported the same events? The preview identifies duplicates.

Purchases

Restoring Plus on a new phone

Settings › Doneasy Plus › Restore a purchase, signed in to the same Apple ID.

Where did my coffee, lunch or dinner go?

These are optional, repeatable thank-you purchases, separate from lifetime Plus. They do not unlock features. Their thank-you history is stored on your phone and may disappear after deleting the app. Your Apple purchase history still contains the receipt.

Purchases are unavailable.

Check your internet connection and App Store account, then retry loading prices. Doneasy enables checkout only when Apple returns the product. If it still fails, email the message you see and your app version. TestFlight purchases use Apple's sandbox and do not charge you.

Refunds

Apple handles refunds for App Store purchases at reportaproblem.apple.com.
